A NOTE FROM ELIZABETH

Hello Allegan County! My name is Elizabeth Peterson, and I am running for the newly established 48th Circuit Court judicial seat. I've spent the last 14 years as an Assistant Prosecutor. As a prosecutor in Allegan County, this deep-rooted connection has provided me an opportunity to advocate for victims embroiled in the complexities of the judicial process. This role has not only perfected my expertise but has also deepened my empathy and compassion—two qualities I am confident will help me serve as your future judge in the 48th Circuit Court.

The courts stand as protectors of our community, working in tandem with law enforcement to keep our neighborhoods safe. In this partnership, the role of a judge is crucial, as they must embody the principles of fairness and consistency that are enshrined in our constitution—which mandates fair representation and a fair trial for the accused. It is essential that our justice system, when warranted, provides pathways to rehabilitation programs, reflecting a justice that is not only firm but also redemptive.

My qualifications extend to a broader spectrum, having managed an array of civil proceedings, from abuse and neglect cases to civil forfeiture and personal protection orders. This diverse legal background ensures a comprehensive perspective that I am eager to bring to the bench. Thank you for your support as we embark on this journey to fortify justice in Allegan County.

Vote Elizabeth Peterson for Circuit Court. The candidate with the right experience for Allegan County Circuit Court.
